Belebro is a leader in its field and has come to symbolize the development and implementation of revolutionary new methods used in horse care and training. We try to stay as true as possible to the behavior of the horse in its natural environment, encouraging and enhancing those qualities to the benefit of the horse and the sport. Belebro is the brain-child of Piërre Bens and Wim Helmink, located in The Netherlands, Europe. Together with like-minded, independent specialists in all fields connected with horse care and training, Belebro has become a skilled and experienced all-round consulting team, unparalleled in the world, and characterized by its open mind and versatility, which they put into practice in a simple, economic and effective way. Since the joining of Holm Oostveen to the team at the end of 2009, Belebro can now also offer its products and services on the North American market. “The Belebro Way!” is an innovative fore-runner in its field, and has resulted in several patented inventions such as the Belebro Equiciser and the Belebro Hoof Gel, which are produced and marketed worldwide by independent suppliers. Belebro is also legally recognized in The Netherlands as a training institute for professional equine education.
Holm Oostveen Holm studied business administration at Nijenrode (The Netherlands School of business) before going to the U.S. to get his MBA at Thunderbird (American Graduate School of International management) in Glendale, AZ. After his graduation he joined the corporate world and held various sales and general management positions for international companies, located in Germany, The Netherlands and the U.S. In his last role he moved back to the U.S. as Senior Vice President with global sales responsibility. He has been an amateur rider for most of his adult life and currently lives in central California where his wife Nicky owns her own dressage sales barn for European import horses. Within Belebro, Holm is responsible for the day-to-day management of the North American market.
Piërre Bens
Piërre is a horseman through and through! Even before he decided to devote himself to the improvement of conditions and methods in horse care, he was a successful international show jumper, recognized for his understanding and methods for getting horses in top-form, and keeping them that way! As a Young Rider, he was the most successful competitor in the 1985 European Championships. His training methods and vision led him to invent the training mill (free run exerciser, 1987 by Belebro), which nowadays is indispensable in all aspects of horse training all over the world. Piërre is the practical man of Belebro and as personal advisor and consultant, he coaches stable owners, riders and trainers in the design of locomotive, nutritional and training programs and riding techniques. He is also very successful in the design and planning of well-thought out accommodations and facilities, as well as being responsible for the monitoring of new rehabilitation and research projects. Within Belebro, Holm is responsible for the day-to-day management of the North American market. Wim Helmink
